Algae Blenny (Salarius fasciatus)

Rarely seen above 10cm

Suggested minimum aquarium size when adult:
150 litres

Difficulty:
Moderate

Feeding:
Can be difficult to feed, they will often eat only algae, but once this is gone they may starve, unless weaned onto Brineshrimp enriched with Spirulina, or flake. Our fish in store will be guaranteed feeding on frozen.

Reef safe:
Generally reef safe, but possibility of nipping at Clams or SPS corals.

Compatibility:
Can be aggressive with its own kind or similar species. Best not to be kept with active species that may prevent it from getting enough food.
