Feeding:
Will eat frozen Mysis & Brineshrimp will take dried foods readily when settled. Appreciates some vegetable matter e.g. dried seaweed. Needs lots of small frequent feedings

Reef safe:
Usually considered reef safe. Will graze on algae

Compatibility:
Like many Tangs can be aggressive to newcomers once established, don't keep with other fish of a similar body shape or colouration, but should mix well with other similar size fish. Avoid keeping with any fish that may bully it

Other information.
This species is very prone to Whitespot, we would not suggest keeping an Achilles Tang unless the aquarium has an adequately sized and maintained Ultraviolet Steriliser, especially reef aquarium where treatment would be difficult. Achilles Tangs are active swimmers that come from shallow turbulent water, ensure the aquarium has plenty of open space with lots of water movement and O2 levels at saturation.
