\n
\nDifficulty:
\nModerate as prone to Whitespot.

\nWill eat froze Plankton, Mysis & Spirulina enriched Brineshrimp, will take dried foods readily when settled. Appreciates some vegetable matter e.g. dried seaweed.
\n
\nReef safe:
\nGenerally considered reef safe, although we have had the odd specimen nip at SPS corals.
\n
\nCompatibility:
\nRegals Tangs are one of the more peaceful Tangs, although it's still not a good idea keep with other fish of a similar body shape or colouration, but should mix well with other similar size fish. Can be kept singularly or in small groups if all added at the same time, larger specimens may dominate smaller individuals. When established can become aggressive towards new introductions
\n
\nOther information.
\nCan be prone to Whitespot, we would recommend an aquarium housing a Regal Tang uses an Ultraviolet Steriliser, especially in the reef aquarium where treatment would be difficult. Regal Tangs are an active swimmer, ensure the aquarium has plenty of open space. It's not unusual for them to wedge themselves in crevices and even on occasion lay on their side. Unconfirmed reports of venomous dorsal spines.
