\nAKA Harlequin Filefish, Longnose Filefish
\n
\nMaximum size:
\n10cm
\n
\nSuggested minimum aquarium size when adult:
\n75 litres
\n
\nDifficulty:
\nModerate
\n
\nFeeding:
\nDespite many reports of this fish only eating Hard corals and starving when these are not available, all the specimens we hand pick take frozen Mysis and Brineshrimp. Although frequent small feeds are recommended.
\n
\nReef safe:
\nMay be OK with Soft corals and Colonial Anemones, but will eat Hard Corals
\n
\nCompatibility:
\nPeaceful, does not always do well in aquarium with active fish, these may outcompete it. Although when well settled will mix with most similarly sized fish that are not too aggressive. Can be kept in small groups.
\n
\nOther information
\nMales have Orange fin rays in the dorsal and anal fin. The male has a spotted ventral flap; female have a grey flap with a black edge
