\nEasy marine fish to breed, the male hold the eggs and fry in its mouth until they are around 8mm in length. Small specimens of a few centimetres live around long spinned urchins, when threatened they retreat between the spines for safety.
\nThis species is classed and endangered in the wild, so all our Emperor Cardinals at The Water Zoo are captive bred.
