Difficulty:
Moderate, as can be difficult to maintain weight.

Feeding:
Will eat frozen Mysis, Brineshrimp and Plankton. Feed small amounts and often, also likes to look for amphipods and copepods on live rock, and this can help maintain weight.

Reef safe:
Excellent choice for the reef aquarium

Compatibility:
Compatible with other peaceful fish of a similar size. Can be kept with its own kind in a large shoal, otherwise keep singularly. Bullying occurs if small number are kept together long term.

Other information.
A rarely seen Blenny from Japan until recently, these fish are now captive bred and more readily available. Prefers slightly cooler water than many tropical marine fish, we would suggest a maximum temperature of 26C. These Blennies have venomous teeth. While it is unlikely to bite, be vigilant when you have your hands in the aquarium. Male fish are larger than females.
