The centrally mounted sensor detects shift in pH in 0.4 increments from 5.8 up to 8.6.

Place the Seachem pH Alert anywhere in the aquarium where it is easily read, Its that easy, no chemicals or pH test kits are required. When first added to the aquarium it takes around 30 minutes to start working, after that it will detect changes in the pH level within 10 minutes. Depending on water parameters the pH Alert has a serviceable life of 3-6 months. A replacement sensor is included to ensure the unit remains accurate for this period of time.
