Solupraz is a new formulation wormer for ornamental fish. It is active against tapeworms and gill flukes.
Solupraz is the result of in-depth research by veterinary fish experts who have recognised the need for ornamental fish keepers to have access to high quality veterinary pharmaceutical products which are both safe and effective.
The active ingredient in Solupraz is praziquantel, which is a well known anthelmintic which was developed for humans, livestock and companion animals. It was first discovered in the 1970's in Germany and was developed by a major pharmaceutical company in conjunction with the World Health Organisation to treat some major parasitic problems in humans in developing countries. At the same time it was developed commercially as a livestock treatment.
Since then it has been widely used and researched and is still in constant use especially for the treatment of tapeworm infestations in animals ranging from horses to domestic pet cats. It has been used in a range of fish species for the control of a variety of fish parasites since the early 1990's, with specific studies in carp for cestode infestations as well as ectoparasites such as monogean trematodes, or flukes.

Safe for use with tropical, coldwater, and marine fish, even delicate species e.g. Discus.
DO NOT USE WITH INVERTEBRATES.

10 gram pack for single dose for 2500 litres, or two dose treatment for 1250 litres.
Dosage
Use 4g of powder per 1000 litres of water, treat after 7 days to eradicate skin and gill flukes.
Turn off the UV and bypass any carbon filters. Dissolve Solupraz into 10 litres of water in a clean bucket and mix well. Pour this suspension into the pond/aquarium and rinse the bucket out with water to make sure you have used all of the product. Leave for 24 hours and then turn on the UV and activate the carbon filter.
As treatment for skin and gill flukes, repeat treatment after 7 days to ensure developed eggs are killed.
As a routine wormer, use once a year to prevent build-up of tapeworm or flukes.
Cedapraz is manufactured to the highest European Pharmaceutical standard under a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Licence.
