The Red Sea Max 130D is the MKII model of the very successful Red Sea Max 130 and incorporates several new features. It is a fully featured unit designed to make setting up a reef aquarium and maintaining corals and marine fish easy.
It combines all of the equipment needed to maintain an artificial reef in an attractive rounded corner aquarium & cabinet. It is sensibly sized to enable a wide variety of inhabitants to be kept with dimensions of 500mm x 500mm x 610mm high with a total capacity of 130 litres. It includes two 550 lph circulation pumps, mechanical, chemical and biological filtration, all built into a compartment in the back of the tank, out of sight. This compartment also houses a protein skimmer, and is fed via a surface inlet.
The hood provides access to the skimmer and lifts at the front for feeding and cleaning, but can be fully opened providing even better access to the tank. In the hood there is 110 watts of light provided by two compact T5 lamps and these are controlled by the integrated timer. Four blue LED’s provide a moonlight effect to illuminate the aquarium at night. Several cooling fans cool the lights help prevent overheating , while another cools the aquarium.
All plugs and cables are concealed within a panel at the side of the tank and the equipment is individually switched, so just one power cable is required.

The Kent Interpet Bioreef has a curved glass front and a hidden filtration system. It makes an ideal small marine aquarium, housing corals, shrimps and a few small fish. The lid of the aquarium houses two high output 36 watt T5 compact lamps, which provide sufficient light for most species of coral There are also 6 separately switched 1 watt white LEDs and four 0.5 watt blue LEDs to provide night lighting.
The unit uses a three-stage filter to ensure clear water and reduce the need for maintenance. The first stage removes suspended particles by circulating the water through a multi-level intake system, filter balls, and open cell foam. In the second stage, toxic fish waste is removed using Biomedia. The third stage uses carbon to remove organic material and give the water a final polish. Water temperature is controlled by a 200 watt thermostatic heater and water is drawn through the filter by a 1000 litre per hour pump. The Kent Bioreef also includes the Kent Nano skimmer hidden in the filtration chamber. This removes many waste products as well as increasing oxygen levels
