Cured Live rock
All our live rock is cleaned thoroughly on arrival, and then cured for a month under illumination before being offered for sale. Most of the live rock we have is from Fiji and of a very high quality, when available we also have branch rock, cultured rock and base rock.

How much live rock do you need?
As a rough guide 1kg (2.2lb) per gallon if you are using a natural system where live rock provides the primary biological filtration. This should be used as a guide only as the density of pieces varies enormously. We would suggest that decorating at least 1/4 of your aquarium with live rock, may give a more accurate rule of thumb. Live rock should be positioned to allow plenty of water flow through and around it, this will prevent the accumulation of dead spots.
