Nano
Reef is the term used to describe small marine aquariums stocked with a few very
small fish, live rock and corals. It was once thought that maintaining such
small marine aquariums was only for the most dedicated hobbyist, but advances in
technology and techniques have made it possible for everybody.
These
aquariums are ideal for a beginner to the marine hobby or as a second tank for
the more experienced hobbyist. We have two sizes in stock, a 45 litre version,
which is ideal as desktop aquarium, or a larger 90 litre one which is suitable
for those wanting a few more fish.
Both
units are finished in Gunmetal and feature a single wrap round front that
eliminates unsightly corners, giving a larger viewing area.
The
large but unobtrusive 3 stage filtration system situated at the back consists of
a foam for removal of debris, ceramic rings for biological filtration &
carbon for chemical filtration. Water is drawn through the filter by a powerful
pump that circulates the water volume 10 times per hour.
Lighting
is provided by the latest high output compact T5 technology giving intense
illumination for even the most demanding corals. Two Moonlight LED’s provide a
moonlight effect enabling you to watch the inhabitants at night. Twin cooling
fans are built into the hood to extend the life of the lamps and help prevent
overheating of the water.
The
hood is hinged allowing easy access to the entire aquarium, for feeding there is
a small flap at the front.
